We have finally almost finished painting the living room - just need to put an extra coat on the corner behind the telly, which accidentally got missed. We painted most of the walls with Resene Quarter Spanish White, and one wall in Resene Cioccolato. In the tin, it looks like melted milk chocolate - mmm.

Looking good! Any final decisions about the hallway and placement of the TV?
Oh, it'll probably be years before we have enough money to do anything about building an entrance hallway. Too many other things bleeding us dry at the moment! It'll just have to stay like it is for now :)
Looks great- so much brighter, and it's so spacious!
Very spacious. We have plenty of space to have 4 people playing Wii tennis without worrying too much about digging people in the bake when going for a big back swing!
Now all I need is a Wii to put that to the test :P
i'm loving the transformation - the whole house looks so much more modern and spacious. i'm not sure if stephen messaged you, but we've booked tickets down to chch on 29 october...i'm looking forward to meeting you in real life :)
Hey Laura, Stephen hasn't said a word about coming down on the 29th - typical! Hopefully we will be here. It's our wedding anniversary on the 31st, but I don't think there's anything planned that will take us away from Chch. It'll be great to meet you too and put a face to the name, and you can check out the house in real life too :)
Um, yeah, it's all true.
That last comment was from Stephen...
am i'm looking forward to meeting the latest additions to the family, especially sean henn.
we're using chch as a starting point for a wee road trip around the south island (so S can get a taste of the country before throwing himself into employment). we'll only be staying in the city briefly before heading down milford way, etc and then back up (maybe westcoast??) again. the car has to be dropped in picton on 9th november...but otherwise no definite plans yet; we'll wing it.
