We went to Edinburgh Castle in time to watch them shoot the cannon at 1pm. I was able to get a good photo of the guy checking his watch before loading up whatever it is they shoot off.
Two seconds later the cannon went off. I nearly jumped out of my skin, as you can see. It's hard to hold a camera steady when something is exploding a few feet away!
Don't worry Jen - you aren't alone in bricking it when the gun goes off!
